When he gets power drained while low on HP, he will have to use more basic attacks and stay active longer before he can use his SP2. When stunned, he is in great danger of being killed by an enemy special attack. Equipment that resists stun, power drain and poison things you absolutely want to avoid when he is low on HP. With increased power generation, he will be able to use his SP2 faster, which can save him if he is low on HP. Equipment that can potentially save him from a death hit, like Living Dead. Equipment that grants additional HP, like Saurian Armor. Prioritize equipment that increases his chances of survival: Fortunately, Scorpion's basic attacks chain together extremely well and will rarely be interrupted, so you can safely build up power to use his SP2. He can safely regenerate his HP while tagged out, and he will be harder to kill the next he comes in. LOW: you want to use Judgement (SP2) and immediately tag out. Johnny/Cassie can then land an unblocked special attack.
HIGH: you can attempt a Spear (SP1) to stun the opponent and immediately tag out. During the short time that Scorpion will be active, your next move generally depends on his HP levels. This also means that when Scorpion performs a Tactical Extraction, you want to tag him out ASAP to prevent him from being knocked out. Since he cannot save his teammates when he is defeated, you absolutely want to keep him alive as for long as possible, meaning under normal circumstances, you should never tag him in until either Johnny or Cassie has been knocked out. New players might be tempted to use Scorpion as an early attacker because of his high base attack stat, however this is definitely not recommended. Assuming you are using a full Strike Force team, you want to start fights by constantly switching between Johnny Cage and Cassie Cage, to completely annihilate the opponent's power bars from their tag-in power drain.
The Strike Force team is known for its tag-in antics, which can be extremely deadly (and frustrating to play against). He is also one of the best diamond characters in the whole game. He is the main reason why the Strike Force is so gimmicky and fun to use.
